Strictly John Booted Off

John Barnes became the eighth person to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing last night.

The public voted him off after the former Liverpool and England star's samba dance failed to impress the judges.

John lost to Kelly Brook in a dance off after they both scored a total of 27 out of 40.

It was the ex-footballer's fifth time in the dance off.

Judge Bruno Tonioli said: "The samba should be your dance. This is what really should suit you, but this is a little bit awry."

"It was a murmur, it was casual, it didn't have the impact, the fun. It looked like you were rehearsing in the corridor, looking at the floor."

Next week all couples will have to perform two dances.
