Kate Hudson’s been teaching her 3-year-old son, Ryder, about the family business – fame.

The You, Me & Dupree actress has told People magazine in the US: "Every once in a while, he'll go, 'Oh my God, mommy, you're on TV, you're on TV!'"
 
"I don't think he has any understanding of it. I think he's aware that it's mommy's job."

Ryder is the result of Kate’s marriage to The Black Crowes rocker Chris Robinson.

She gave birth to the youngster in January 2004. Chris and Kate broke up last year.

Kate is no stranger to being in a showbiz family. Her parents are Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell.
