Sam Pinkham 

I started in radio 8 years ago selling advertising in a sales dept and then realised you could be a presenter, and do a lot less work!

So I took to the skies in a knackered old plane (the equivalent of a Ford Cortina of the skies) to do traffic and travel reports on five radio stations across the Midlands... but got sacked because I said something rude on air. To this day I still think they were a little harsh – maybe they didn’t like my big ears slowing the plane down!

I was then a Breakfast 'Stunt Boy’ for 5 years doing allsorts of weird and wonderful things out and about, including chasing ostriches around a field, feeding British beef to a Frenchman in Calais during the beef ban and getting arrested on Nottingham train station platform 4! This is where I met Amy, she was my cable monkey, but kept trying to kiss me very early in the morning! And then I came here, to Heart, started on the Drivetime show and now on Breakfast. Amy still tries to kiss me everyday but at least now we have a desk between us!
