Ellen To Marry Her Girlfriend

Ellen DeGeneres is to marry her partner Portia de Rossi.

They’ll be among the first same-sex couples to say I Do in Los Angeles after the California Supreme Court ruled in favour of gay marriage.

It’s previously been illegal to for gay couples to get married until now.

However, religious and social conservatives are seeking to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot in November that would undo the Supreme Court ruling and ban gay marriage.

The court ruling means same-sex couples could tie the knot in as little as a month.
