Mark Ronson – Version
Mark Ronson is the new saviour of dance music having already worked with Lily Allen, Christina Aguilera, Robbie Williams, and of course Amy Winehouse whose version of ‘Valerie’ is by far and away the stand-out cut on here. If you didn’t know all these songs are covers – from Coldplay to Britney Spears but he and his band rework rather than just copy the tracks so don’t expect an album of karaoke classics. He’s inspired by the 60’s brit/pop era (lots ofg brass and horns) so if you like the style and sound of Valerie then you’ll love the rest of this album.

Justin Timberlake – Future Sex/Love Sound
Even though ‘Sexyback’ (his first single from this album) was released in September 2006 it’s refreshing to see an album still going so strong 2 years later. If you got a copy of his dynamite first album ‘Justified’ it’s a big departure from the slick and well polished grooves of Rock Your Body and Cry Me A River moving to what he calls ‘Funk Rock’ (in other words Prince) but nonetheless if you like the sound of the other singles ‘My Love’ and ‘What Goes Around’ then you’ll definitely love this album. Strong stuff indeed.

Nelly Furtado – Loose
One of the many artists who has worked with the now ‘super producer’ Timbaland this album this has to be one of the best albums to have been released in the last two years. There have been no less than 5 singles released off this album to date, (Maneater, Promiscuous, Say It Right, In God’s Hands and All Good Things Must Come To An End) - all of which showcase just how strong this album is. This is dance/pop at it’s very finest.
