Madonna's first film as director has been panned by critics.

Filth and Wisdom - a romantic comedy-drama has opened at the Berlin Film Festival.

It's the story of a Ukrainian immigrant who finances his dreams of becoming a rock star by moonlighting as a cross-dressing dominatrix.

The Guardian has called it 'dumb and tacky', while industry website Screendaily labels it 'creakily written'.
