Hayden's Big Screen Cheer

Hayden Panettiere may be wearing a new cheerleading uniform.

The Heroes actress is in discussions to star in the teen coming-of-age movie I Love You, Beth Cooper.

If she signs, Hayden will play Beth, the school's hottest cheerleader who shows nerdy valedictorian Denis Cooverman the best night of his life after he proclaims his love for her during his graduation speech.

Home Alone movie maker Chris Columbus is in talks to direct, and will also serve as a producer – shooting is due to get under way in the next few weeks.

It’s not the first time Hayden - best known as cheerleader Claire Bennet on Heroes – has appeared in a movie as a pom-pom bearer. She also fulled the skirt in the 2006 sequel Bring It On: All Or Nothing – one of many cash ins on the hit Kirsten Dunst teen movie.
