Will Gets Hollywood Star

Will Smith has left his mark on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

On Monday he joined the ranks of movie legends by having his handprints and footprints immortalised on the famous Hollywood landmark.

Tom Cruise was among the family and friends who turned out see the 39-year-old receive the honour.

He told the crowd:  "I'm humble, I'm honoured, my heart is just beating right now."

"I don't really understand it -- I'm not used to feeling like that. There's something in the concrete about being etched into the fibre of Hollywood."

The ceremony comes just before the US release of his new film I Am Legend.

In the sci-fi action flick Will – one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood - plays a scientist who is the last man on Earth following a virus that destroys the world's population.
