Kylie Minogue will be honoured tonight with a prestigious music industry award.
The Australian pop princess is to be presented with the Music Industry Trust's Award in "recognition of her universally acclaimed status as an icon of pop and style achieved over a 20 year career which has seen her reinvent, experiment and inspire".
Previous winners of the award, now in its 16th year, include Sir Elton John and Peter Gabriel.
Kylie, who beat breast cancer after being diagnosed in 2005, said: "It is an incredible honour to be the recipient of this year's Music Industry Trust's Award and I am truly thrilled to be recognised in this way."
The ceremony in front of 1,200 guests from the UK will take place at the Grosvenor Hotel in London.
