Star Wars will return to cinemas this August in an animated movie.
It will be called Star Wars: The Clone Wars, be 100-minutes long and will take place between the events of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
It will include characters from the prequel franchise such as Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padmé Amidala.
The story will then switch to television with 30-minute "mini-movies" that will premiere on Cartoon Network.
In a statement, creator George Lucas said: "I felt there were a lot more Star Wars stories left to tell," said creator George Lucas in a press release."
"I was eager to start telling some of them through animation and, at the same time, push the art of animation forward."
Star Wars: The Clone Wars will debut in cinemas on August 15.
