Is it any good? It’s tough to sell a sports comedy in the UK, especially an American football one set in the 1920s, but put George and Renee together on screen and suddenly it becomes a lot easier. This film isn’t laugh out loud funny but it’s got a sassy quality to it, thanks to the razor sharp script that will please most people – plus it’s not over long, coming in at just under two hours. Let’s be honest, George Clooney could read a shopping list and millions of women would till fork a tenner for a ticket! He directed this film too so he should be proud of it. Result!
