Kate's Cat Has Close Call

Kate Beckinsale’s cat has had a lucky escape – after it caught fire!

The British actress has told People magazine in the US it happened while she was getting ready to go to the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

She explained: "Our cat Clive caught fire on a candle."

"As I was getting ready, there was like 'whoosh' a fireball and he went up like a rocket."

"The cat is fine. He had no idea. The smell of burnt fur though – it was awful!"
