Eurovision food and drink
An important part of any party has to be the food and
drink. So to make your Eurovision party
go off with a bang, why not create a menu with a dish and/or drink from a
selection of the countries that are taking part. Here are a few ideas to get you started:-
- Belgium
– Go for mussels, waffles, Belgian chocolate and plenty of fruit flavoured beers.
- Cyprus
– A traditional dish is Cypriot meze which is a kind of tapas of small plates of dips
like taramosalata, vegetables as well as fish and meat dishes.
- Denmark
- The dish de-jour would be a smørrebrød which is an open sandwich.
Pack them with pickled herring for a true Danish delight.
- France – There’s lots to chose from why not have baguettes,
fine wine, cheese, pain au chocolat and for those that are daring enough why
not give snails and frogs legs a try!
- Germany
– sausage, sausage and more sausage!
- Greece
– This cusine would make a great starter with Greek dips such tzatziki and hummus with pita bread, and feta
salad.
- Spain
– You can create lots of little tapas dishes with paella, chorizo sausage in
wine sauce, squid rings etc.
- Serbia - Why not go Serbian and try a Pljeskavica - to me and you, a burger without a bun.
- UK
– why not stick to the traditional fish and chips or a nice cup of tea.
