What's it about? Based on the popular video game, it follows the retribution-packed odyssey of Number 47, a bald assassin raised from birth to be a killer and tattooed with a barcode on the back of his head.
What type of film is it? Action
Is it any good? For an action film based on a video game there is a general lack of video game-like action! Lots of moody talking and soul searching goes on, and there are some nice touches here and there such as atmospheric locations, but very little else. Suiting its DVD format better than a cinema screen, it is still one for fans of the game – who are probably teenage boys – or those who fancy staring at new Bond girl Olga Kurylenko… but they are probably the same people anyway. Blah!
