What type of film is it? Comedy
Is it any good? It’s much funnier than you might think. It’s the brainchild of the same guys who brought us 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Superbad but it is more family friendly than those films. Not all the gags hit the mark and it’s a smidge too long, but there are some genuine laugh out loud moments that had me in stitches. Owen Wilson looks a bit lost sometimes without a heavy weight co-star to bounce off (was Ben Stiller busy?) but the film is more about the kids than him any way so it’s not a deal breaker. Forgettable fun for a Friday night but worth your time and money.
