Cate Welcomes Third Child

Cate Blanchett’s given birth to her third child.

Son Ignatius Martin was born Sunday at a Sydney hospital.

The Golden Compass star and her writer-director husband, Andrew Upton already have two sons – five-year-old Dashiell John and three-year-old Roman Robert.

Despite being hugely pregnant, Cate still made it along to the Oscars in Februray.

She even told People magazine in the US that her as-yet-unborn plus one was very happy to be there.

She explained: "He's actually asleep - believe it or not, which bodes well."
