ILL BEHAVIOUR presents: What is Hip Hop? - 05:00PM 22/06/2008

What is Hip Hop? What are ‘the elements’? This cultural movement has been with us for more than 30 years. Ill behaviour presents a collection of independent films about Hip Hop, hosted by Ian BeatMaster’ Wright. This event will explore the essential elements of Hip Hop and debate what makes it one of the most unique and sometimes misunderstood genres. Mapperley Park Garden Trail - 01:17PM 22/06/2008
location - Mapperley Park, Nottingham
On Sunday 22nd June 12 gardens will be open in Mapperley Park from 1.30-5.30pm. Come and have a look behind the houses and see some lovely gardens ranging from 100 years old to 3 years old! Tea and cake will be served in the grounds of Mapperley Hall, Champagne and strawberries will be served in Cyprus Road, there will be plant stalls, honey for sale, book stall, craft stall, tombola and a raffle. The trail starts at 5 Mapperley Hall Drive NG3 5EP and costs £3.00 per adult, children free. We are supporting local charities NORSACA ( for adults and children with autism) and SHE (survivors of abuse). Please come along and enjoy a walk around our leafy suburb and enjoy our gardens.

Great Notts Bike Ride - 08:00AM 22/06/2008
location - Holme Pierrepont National Water Sports Centre, Adbolton Lane, Nottingham
Four different types of rides all of which start and finish at the National Water Sports Centre, Holme Pierepont. 100 mile ride - a sportive route for the more serious cyclist; a 50 mile ride - a challenge ride that goes to Newark before looping back to to Holme Pierrepont and an 18 mile ride - a community ride and the lap challenge - a ride for young cyclists on a closed circuit around Holme Pierrepont.
