Britney's TV Thumbs Up

There are good reviews for Britney’s latest high profile guest spot.

She made her much-hyped guest appearance on US TV in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother on Monday night.

She played a sweet-natured receptionist, Abby, with a crush on unlucky-in-love character Ted.

The 26-year-old pop star, who previously was on a 2006 episode of Will and Grace, appeared fresh-faced and relaxed, capably filling the small role.

Britney has been on a very public emotional rollercoaster since her split with ex-husband Kevin Federline in late 2006. Their subsequent custody battle, her bizarre behaviour and two hospitalizations have also drawn a lot of attention.

She remains under the conservatorship of her father, James, which means he has control of her and her money – a judge has dismissed calls for that ruling to be relaxed.
