I can't tell you how shocked and actually relieved i was when i came into work at 5am and everyone asked 'did you feel the earthquake last night'?! So that's what it was!!

Last night has to be one of the most surreal experiences of my life....without sounding dramatic! There i was, in bed, fast asleep when all i remember is waking up sitting up boltright grabbing onto my bed petrified!!! I don't think i've ever been more confused...the first thing i thought was we were being burgled, which a lot of people did. But how is that logical-at what point does a burglar shake your flat?!! But then it suddenly went still...which made it even weirder?! All i knew was something terrified me and i had a reaction to instantly close my window, but in my sleepy state nothing made sense....an earthquake never even crossed my mind!! So i sat wide awake for half an hour trying to work it out...listening for more sounds....and nothing!

So when i woke up 4 hours later, i was still baffled, thought i'd probably had a horrific nightmare and got paranoid, and actually felt a little bit mad!

Now i know it wasn't a huge natural disaster, but i've still spent the day fascinated by it, watching earthquake videos and joined the facebook group 'i survived the 27th Feb earthquake'!! Haha.
