Friday February 1st: Chasing Pavements

Dodgy ankles, sore knees, a Beckham-style `stressed metatarsal', toe nails turning black, toe nails falling out, joggers nipple. Especially joggers nipple. And let's not forget the risk of being beaten by a pantomime camel, a two-footed tin of baked beans and Kinga from Big Brother.

Yes, there are so many reasons to put me off lining up again for this year's London Marathon. And yet despite acknowledging that it really is startlingly dumb idea & that I have a body better suited to darts, here I go again for a second time.

And so, for the honour and the right to finish Sunday the 13th of April on the Mall wrapped in a bacofoil cape I find myself once again...chasing pavements.
