It’s In His Kiss!

Ok, so maybe Spring hasn’t EXACTLY sprung just yet, but it seems to me there IS definitely something in the air. And that something is…love.

Take Eastenders for example….even Heather’s been getting lucky this week. Not forgetting last night and the Ian Beale’s sex-tips - “when you need to string out the passion, you want to focus on something else…I try to name the entire England squad…including the subs”. Uuuurghhh! Isn’t the very idea of Ian Beale getting frisky just WRONG??!!! Let alone his need to share with us the benefit of his wooing wisdom!

But now the clocks have changed (and let’s hope the weather will soon, too!) maybe it’s time to put a little loving back on the agenda d’amour. Especially if you’re single and on the look. And with ever-busier lifestyles, you don’t want to be wasting time on the wrong person. So, here’s some handy advice I’ve picked up this week.

Researchers in New York have just produced a study on the psychology of kissing. And it seems a lot can be learned from that first foray. It could just turn out to be the dilating deal-breaker.

It’s reckoned we make all kinds of subconscious assessments in that first locking of lips. For example women are able to detect male testosterone levels. You’ll get an immediate steer on whether this new relationship has legs and a sense of your potential partner’s mating-suitability. You’ll be able to subliminally predict how this person is likely to fit in with your network of friends/family, how their `date etiquette’ is likely to shape up, maybe even how long they can stay interested while you dive into ANOTHER row of shoe-shops (ok, pushing it a bit here.) And all this just from one little game of tonsil-hockey.

Then you look at things from the male side. What does HE hope to learn from that first kiss? Are similar complex psychological messages being transported through the deepest love-channels of HIS mind? Still waiting for the research on this one but my hunch is…….errr no.

There’s only one thing on his mind…….it’s naming the entire England football squad (including subs).   

So, pucker up cos love is in the air………..(…David James…Rio Ferdinand…John Terry…Steven Gerrard…etc etc………)
