DIY? No chance!

It seems ages since we were enjoying the Bank Holiday Easter weekend. Well I don't know about enjoying it?  I had a new kitchen delivered a few weeks ago which was sitting all boxed up in my lounge waiting for my cousin to fit.   He was supposed to do it last week but has been delayed on another job and won't be able to fit it for another two weeks. 

So in my infinite wisdom I decided to have a go at doing it myself... it can't be that difficult?  Just like putting together a giant lego set!  I ripped out my old kitchen in two hours and started to open the boxes and that's when the problems started!

After about four hours of trying, none of the bits seemed to go together and I was becoming increasingly frustrated, it was a good job I was on my own because tools were flying everywhere! I eventually gave up and put everything back in their boxes and am now resigned to the fact that I will have to wait for my cousin! 

I see why the kitchen companies charge such an extortionate amount of money to fit it.   You have to be a brain surgeon to have any chance!

My parents are coming next week for a few days and I had hoped it would be all in and working and what's worse is I don't even have my old kitchen because I ripped it out!

We will just have to go out for dinner every night, I can manage beans on toast at the moment but that's about it!
