Hurrah! I’ve got myself a flat, I’m all moved in and now I have to set up the room and unpack.
If you read one of my earlier blog entries you’ll know I am THE worst decision maker in the world. That fact really bugs me and it came back to haunt me when I came to deciding where to put the sofa, the TV and the dining table. I spent the best part of a day (yes that’s right a day!) scratching my head, doing the old ‘well if I put the TV there I’ll have to have the sofa here but then it’s a bit close, but the TV can’t go here 'cos the cable won’t stretch and then the table will be in the way’ etc etc…
So in all honesty I don’t know if I’ve made the right choices but I got to the point where I was so bored of doing nothing that I just let a friend choose for me. Why make a decision yourself when you can get away with someone else doing it for you!?
I’m still in the middle of the unpacking phase, going through boxes that I moved from my last place without really checking their contents first. I think I probably found the most bizarre thing in the process - a bow & arrow. No, really. Not a 5-years-olds toy where you lick the end and it sticks to the window, but a genuine bow & arrow.
When did I get that?
I have absolutely no use for it whatsoever. It is now occupying a box that I created yesterday afternoon labelled ‘What the...?’. I was thinking of either giving it away or putting it some kind of jumble sale, but that does raise certain ethical (…and legal perhaps??) questions, could I get away with giving someone else an actual weapon?
Anyway if you find yourself going to a William Tell-themed party over the next few weeks, drop me a line and providing you can, ya’know, sort out any issues (?), you can have yourself a killer prop!
