It’s my girlfriend’s birthday this Sunday, which usually leaves me totally clueless about what to get her! In the past I’ve selfishly bought her things that I can enjoy as well (DVDs, chocolates… sexy undies!), but this year she has been good enough to steer me in the right direction! She’s asked for a pink Nintendo DS console…and it must be pink!

Brilliant, all I have to do is walk into town after the show, buy one and I’ll be home in time for Diagnosis Murder! Wrong! I spent my afternoon yesterday hunting high and low for this illusive console! Every shop I tried (and believe me, I tried a few) was completely sold out! After hours of searching I admitted defeat and retreated home to order one online. It's a 4 day week so fingers crossed it arrives in time. If not, I’m sure an extra Easter egg or 2 will make up for it!

If you’re a parent and you’ve spent days in the lead up to Christmas hunting down the “must have” toy, I now know exactly how you feel!
