Day 28 in the Big Brother house

"Happy House, Happy House, Happy Happy Happy House" (altogether now...)
"Happy House, Happy House, Happy Happy Happy House" (could catch on...)
"Happy House, Happy House, Happy Happy Happy House" (it's getting annoying now...)
"Happy House, Happ.." AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHH. STOP. PLEASE!

"If you're happy and you know it clap your ha..." KAT. PLEASE. ENOUGH!

Do you ever watch Big Brother with that thought: "I wonder how I'd react if I was in the house?". The whole 'painting' argument over the weekend was one of the low points so far in this year's series, but I don't think any of them reacted in a way that was reasonable. It's as if they'd all taken a quick drama course in how to go completely over the top in their emotions and actions - and they learnt fast. In the last few days, even the house-mates I thought were OK are being a bit annoying and weird. Kat's hope for a "happy house" (don't start) is looking less and less likely.

It's that argument in the early hours of Friday morning that has led to this week's eviction nominees. It's REX v JENNIFER. Another tough one to call, but in the words of that bloke on Through The Keyhole, "let's look at the evidence":

Rex
FOR EVICTION: He's moany, grumpy, always complaining, never happy and is clearly loved by... er... not many of his fellow house-mates. They complain about him all the time and he's not having the easiest time in the house. Life on the outside sounds averagely rosy for Rex The Chef so why not let him get out and add more pounds to his fortune?! When he heard he was up for eviction, he smiled and shouted "Yes!" before apologising for his outburst.

AGAINST EVICTION: The other house-mates will either starve or eat really bad food for the rest of the series. Even Kat benefited from his brilliant cooking skills (his words, not mine) with a special BB Token Cookie last week. COOOOOOKIEEEEEEEE! Although messing up Jen's painting was a bit nasty and uncalled for, he seems fairly harmless on the whole. No-one can say he didn't try to apologise. Does he really deserve to go?

CHANCE OF EVICTION: 35%

Jennifer
FOR EVICTION: When I went to the house a few weeks back, I noticed the EastEnders set was spitting distance from the Elstree studios. So maybe, if Albert Square needs someone who can bring on the tears at a moment's notice, Jen could pop in on her way home?! I'm sorry, but Friday's out-burst was WAY over the top. Yes, Rex shouldn't have done what he did, but he DID apologise ... numerous times. I think Jen's response was bordering on "attention seeking", which hasn't done her many favours in my eyes.

AGAINST EVICTION: If you want to see a blossoming new BB relationship, you shouldn't break up the love-triangle. Dale and Jen seemed to be getting on really well, but now Stu has eyes for Jen and basically agrees with everything she says. He'll keep pointing out how much they have in common - so much in fact, I'm amazed he's not called Jen. Plus, she sleep-talks, which means watching the live stream on E4 when everyone's in bed suddenly becomes potentially interesting.

CHANCE OF EVICTION: 65%

As the first few weeks of Big Brother have proved, so much can change in a few days. So the chance of eviction could completely swing the other way by Friday, but I currently think Jen needs to get packing. We'll see.

Before I go, a quick bit of news on this week's AMUSING shopping task (Yes Kat, it might be a happy house after all). The house-mates have become zoo animals, wearing huge "It's A Knockout" style costumes. Luke & Mikey are elephants and are having their memories tested. Stuart & Lisa are flamingos and are being tested on balance. Dale & Rex are boxing kangaroos proving their strength and Mo & Darnell's endurance is being tested as two rabbits. Kat and Rachel are a two-headed llama, which means they have to wear the same costume throughout the task. And finally, Jen & Bex are dressed as seals and has Mario The Zoo Keeper has to throw water over them. Who said this show wasn't entertaining??!

Final thoughts:
- Luke: you're starting to get annoying again. Stop it! You WERE making me laugh.
- Bex: STOP, I repeat, STOP ... taking your clothes off all the time. You're obsessed. Please. Pretty Please?
- Lisa: (see comments on Bex)

See ya!
