Atonement won three prizes at last night's Empire film Awards.
It beat Hot Fuzz, Sunshine, Control and This is England, to win Best British Film of 2007.
Stars Keira Knightley and James McAvoy scooped the Best Actress and Best Actor prizes.
Best Film went to action flick The Bourne Ultimatum, starring Matt Damon, who was at the central London ceremony last night.
And action flick The Bourne Ultimatum, in which he stars, won Best Film.
The awards are voted for by readers of Empire magazine and visitors to its website.
